The grading for this trek is moderate to strenuous.
 
 
Day 01
Arrival into Kathmandu. Meet upon arrival with traditional garland ceremony and transfer to your hotel. Evening cultural program depicting the folk dances of the various tribes of Nepal followed by an authentic Nepali dinner. Return to hotel for overnight.
 
 
Day 02
After breakfast at the hotel, commence for a whole day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City, Patan City, Tibetan refugee Camp, Swayambhunath and Bodhnath Stupas, Kumari temple, etc. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
 
 
Day 03
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lukla. Phakding (2652 m). The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2804 m) has to be one of the most spectacular in the world! After luggage claim and a cup of tea, the trail leads north west and descends to the Bhote Koshi river. Campsite at Phakding. A 2 hours walk.
 
 
Day 04
Namc he Bazaar (3445 m). The valley is dotted with small Sherpa settlements. After the national park entry point at Jorsale continue up river and cross the river. Along switchbacks trail while going up the trail to Namche Bazaar there are the first views of Everest (8848 m) and Lhotse (8511m). Views of Thamserku, Kwangdi and the sacred mountain of Khumbila can be seen from here. A 6 hours walk.
 
 
Day 05
Rest day for acclimatization. Explore this interesting village.
 
 
Day 06
Phortse Tenga (3620 m). Campsite on the right bank of the Dudh Koshi. A 6 hours walk.
 
 
Day 07
From Machermo (4465 m) to Luza (4290 m). Campsite in the valley. A 6 hours walk.
 
 
Day 08
Gokyo Lakes (4750 m). We climb from Machermo to Cho Oyu (8201 m) to see the mountains surrounding Ngozumba Glacier. After passing the Mani stone wall we reach Gokyo. A 5 hours walk.
 
 
Day 09
Gokyo Ri excursion (5363 m). Unlike the Kala Patthar hill from Lobuje the foot of Gokyo Ri lies 5 minutes away across a stream that feeds the lake. A 3 hours walk leads to the summit from where the views are magnificent. Return to Gokyo Lakes for overnight.
 
 
Day 10
Machermo (4465 m). We camp in alternate villages.
 
 
Day 11
Khumjung (3719 m). If time permits on this second visit, take a look around at the Hotel Everest View.
 
 
Day 12
Beyond Jorsale (2805 m). Steep descending trail first to Namche Bazaar and the Bhote Koshi river. Camp after the village of Jorsale near the river.
 
 
Day 13
Lukla (2827 m). After an easy walk, through the village of Chaurikharka, we reach Lukla. Overnight at the Sagarmatha Resort.
 
 
Day 14
After breakfast in Lukla, an early morning return flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. Rest of the day free. Dinner and overnight.
 
 
Day 15
After breakfast, a half day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur City. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
 
 
Day 16
Free until departure.
