Dhulikhel
There are many short treks from Dhulikhel. They are easy and very enjoyable, offering some of the best sites in Nepal . There treks may also act as a good warm up for long and strenuous treks.

Trek to NamoBuddha

A short trek to NamoBuddha is a fine walk. It takes only about 3 hours each way and that is the reason why this route has become very popular in recent years. From Dhulikhel, the trail climbs up to the Kali Mandir, a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. From there the trail drops down to the village of Kavre and past a line of shops and tea houses. It then climbs again through pine woods past Phulbari and up and down a couple of more hills before you reach the hill of NamoBuddha.

Either you can return back from this point again to Dhulikhel of further go and complete the NamoBuddha circuit. For this you have continue from NamoBuddha downhill through Sankhu and past a couple of water mills from where the trail again climbs for about one hour to Batase. It then passes through another pine woods and drops down to cross a stream before you climb to Dhulikhel.

Shivapuri Trek

This trek takes 2 to 4 days to complete. The trek offers you with pleasing views of the central and eastern mountain ranges and is somewhat an introduction to Nepalese pastoral life. It is a perfect trip to those who don't want a long strenuous trek or only have time for a short trek. You can very well see during this trek mountain ranges such as Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang.
